LORENA A. BROWN, 93, of Waco, died Friday in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 11:30 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 1124 Washington Ave, the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown was born April 7, 1908 in Gray County where she was reared and educated. She taught school for many years in the Waco Independent School System. Her husband James G.Jim Brown preceded her in death October 8, 1978. Mrs. Brown was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her sons: Wayne Brown and his wife Doris of Waco and James Brown and his wife Beverly of Austin; her sister Letha Conrad of Greenville; her brother; Dr. Charles Ashby and his wife Helen of Pampa, 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
