Doris May Downey June 14, 1926 - February 15, 2013 Doris May Downey of Waco passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Daniel Downey and Chris Doe officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Doris was born June 14, 1926, in Bemidji, Minnesota, to Otto and Hattie Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas H. Downey; and two brothers, Jack and Thomas Hart. She is survived by five sons, Thomas Downey and wife. Georgia. of Lorena, TX, Wesley Downey of Bedford, TX, Jack Downey and wife. Kathy. of San Angelo, TX, William Downey and wife. Myca. of Lorena, and Daniel Downey of Memphis, TX; eight grandsons, Wesley, Brian, Joshua, Robert, Jacob, David, Jeremiah, and Benjamin Downey; three granddaughters, Joanna Sabey and Samantha and Isabella Downey; and one sister, Lorraine Hanson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Waco Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Memphis, TX, First Baptist Church of Lorena Texas, or Edmund Boulevard Baptist Church, San Angelo Texas.
