Doris Marie Barton Angerman

ANGERMAN, DORIS Doris Marie Barton Angerman, age 73 of Waco was received into heaven Monday, January 19, 2004, following a life of Christian faithfulness and service to others. A service honoring her life on earth and celebrating her new life in heaven will be held at 11am Wednesday, January 21 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bellmead with the Rev. Walter Albers and Rev. Joel Boesche officiating. Her body will be laid to rest at Waco Memorial North following the service. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, January 20 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Doris was born March 4, 1930, in West, Texas. She is a 1947 graduate of Waco High School. She worked as a Telephone Girl for Southwestern Bell, and as a switchboard operator for Barnes Lumber. Doris married John Angerman on January 27, 1951. The couple made their home on a farm south of Waco. Doris is remembered most for her life of faith, her love and devotion as a wife and mother, and her amazing love for all of God’s creatures, great and small. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Frances Kovall Barton of Waco. Survivors include her husband, John; daughter, Janice Springman and husband, Larry of Lorena; son, Rev. Ray Angerman and wife, Debbie of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; son David Angerman and wife, Bliss of Austin; daughter, Karen House and husband, David of Belton. Doris is also survived by siblings, Billy Ray Barton and wife, Janie of Saugus, Massachusetts, John Barton and wife, Lillian of Lorena, and Elaine Hicks and husband, John of Waco; and grandchildren, Lance and Sean Springman, Ashley, Allison, and Austin Angerman, Sarah and Elizabeth Angerman, and Benjamin, Daniel and Bethany House. Kenly Springman is her only great grandchild. Pallbearers will be Lance Springman, Sean Springman, Brian Barton, Larry Springman, David House, and Bill Linthicum. Honorary pallbearers are Danne Raborn and Dennis Angerman. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
