Dorothy J. Chisholm

Dorothy J Chisholm, 87, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Providence Health Center. 

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024, with Bro. Buddy Sipes officiating. A burial will follow at Waco Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. October 1, 2024, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born in Waco, TX, to Roy Lee Brown and Ruby Belle Garner Brown, June 8, 1937, and attended Waco High School and a Business College. She was an accountant for Georgia Pacific. She loved quilting and crochet and donated many lap throws to Bluebonnet Hospice for patients. She was a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Chisholm, Jr.; and her parents, Roy and Ruby Brown; daughter-in-law, Marcia Chisholm; granddaughter, Kerrie Chisholm; and daughter-in-law, Teri Chisholm.

She is survived by sons, James Chisholm and significant other Niki Robbins of Stevensville, Montana, Robert Chisholm of Waco, Scott Smith, and wife Trish of Georgia; her daughters, Donna Roberson and husband Jerry of Waco, and Judy Rayvon of Waco; and her grandchildren, Misty, Travis, Cody, Chad, Chasity, Heather, Andy and Geran. Dorothy has 11 Great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, and one is due in January. She is also survived by her 2 precious dogs, Roxie and Penny who loved her so much.

Pallbearers will be Travis Steele, Cody Chisholm, Andy Smith, Joshua Chisholm, Christian Smith and Jordyn Fritze.

The family would like to thank Providence Health Center ICU and 4 South for the excellent care they gave our mother during her stay. We would also like to thank Providence Hospice for its care and compassion during this difficult time.
