MIMS, DOROTHY Dorothy Mims, of Waco died Thursday, August 16, 2001 at a San Antonio nursing home. Graveside services will be 10:30AM Monday, August 20th at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Michael O. Patterson officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Sunday, August 19th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Mims was born in New Boston, TX on March 6, 1904. She moved to Dallas in 1916 where she was employed at Neiman Marcus with 14 years of service in ladies fashion and modeling. She moved to Waco in 1965 and was employed by Cox’s ladies fashions for 12 years. She retired from The Town and Country Dress Shop in Waco at the age of 85. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church in Waco. Survivors include: Sister: Bessie Cavaenness of Yoakum Grandchildren: Pam Buck Hoffman of Kilavea, HI Pamela Phillips of Galveston Pennye Kondria of Houston John T. Bohner of Henderson 8 Great grandchildren Numerous nieces and nephews WILKIRSON-HATCH-BAILEY
