February 2, 1911 — October 6, 2003

WEDDINGTON, DOROTHY MAE Dorothy Mae Weddington, age 92, of Waco died Monday, October 6, 2003 at a Montgomery, Texas nursing home. Services will be held at 1pm Friday, October 10 at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Jimmie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements are through Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Weddington was born February 2, 1911 in Greenville, Texas to Howard G. and Eva Mae Decker. A longtime Waco resident, she came to Waco in the mid forties with her husband, Charles F. Chink Weddington. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was active in many state, civic and charitable organizations during her nearly 60 years of Waco residency. Survivors include son, Chuck Weddington and wife, Barbra of Montgomery, grandchildren, Chris Wood and husband, Billy of Houston, Chase Weddington and wife, Stephanie of Houston, Cary Weddington and wife, Holly of Germany, Cliff Weddington and wife, Cathie of Maryland and Austin Smith of Montgomery, great grandchildren, Lauren and Katherine Wood, Chance Weddington and Bradley Weddington, and brother, Pete Decker and wife, Carol of Dallas. Pallbearers will be Pete Decker, Chase Weddington, Cary Weddington, Cliff Weddington, Billy Wood, and Austin Smith. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
