Dorothy Moody

December 18, 1921 — March 20, 2005

MOODY, DOROTHY On March 20, 2005, Dorothy “Dot” Pyburn Moody, went to be with her Lord. The funeral service will be at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey on Thursday, March 24 at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Bosqueville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, March 23 from 6-8 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, 6101 Bosque Boulevard. We are sure that both her beloved Dwight, who has been waiting for her in heaven for almost 15 years and all of her family and neighbors who went before her were all there to greet her. Everyone who knows her would agree that God broke the mold when He made “Dottie Faye”, and there will never be another. She was always seen wearing a “say something” hat and a million dollar smile. All who met her and loved her here on Earth will await their reunion with her. Dot was born in Byrome, Texas on December 18, 1921, lived at Mt. Calm, and graduated from La Vega High School in 1941. In July of 1946, she married the love of her life, Dwight L. Moody, and lived for his love until he passed away on April 9, 1990. She is survived by two loving daughters, Pam Kirkwood, and husband David, and Charmayne Moody, and husband, Dick Pollard, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. She was a resident of Waco until she moved to Houston on April 15, 1998. She was lovingly cared for by Houston Hospice, Sam Dawkins and Angel Siegert the last week of her life and the family cannot thank them enough for their kindness, care and attention to our beloved Dot. A memorial service and celebration will be held at Spring Shadows Place, where Dot resided for almost seven years, at a date in the near future. There, all who lived by her and friends who shared her life will be invited to celebrate all the special things Dot meant and continues to mean to them. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Dot’s honor to Houston Hospice, 8811 Gaylord, Suite 100, Houston, TX 77024-1397. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our “Memorial Guestbook” at www.wilkirsonhatchbailey.com. Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey
