DORSEY HILL Dorsey Louise Raines Hill, 75, of Waco, went to be with her Master and Savior our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday October 1, 2001 at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 10AM Wednesday October 3, at Waco Memorial Park with Rev. David Shuttlesworth officiating. Mrs. Hill was born January 19, 1926 in Waco to Dossie Miller Raines and Maude Adell Blevins. She attended Waco Public Schools and received her religious education at the former Tabernacle Baptist Church. She married Cecil Leon Hill in Waco on February 17, 1945. She served her church in her younger years, before her failing health, as a Sunday school teacher, Training Union teacher and Women’s Missionary Union officer. She was a former active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church and Alice Ave. Baptist Church, which later changed its name to Park Lake Baptist Church. She volunteered with the American Red Cross and at the Waco Veterans Hospital. She was a faithful writer to the opinion page of the Waco Tribune Herald. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. SURVIVORS: Husband: Cecil Leon Hill of Waco Sister: Jean Neill of Waco Brothers: Harry Jessie Raines William Howard Raines both of Waco Several Nieces and Nephews, which she loved very much The family wishes to send a very special Thanks to Dr. Rodney C.
