Douglas Roming January 23, 1943 - June 2, 2014 Leland Douglas Roming of Eddy passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 in Temple, Texas. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 5, at Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church with Rev. Jason Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Eddy Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Doug was born January 23, 1943, in Temple, to Reggie and Eugenia Roming. He graduated from Bruceville-Eddy in 1961 and Texas A&M University in 1965. He worked at B-E ISD as the Ag teacher for more than 30 years. Doug served on the school board, was a member of the B-E VFD, Eddy Masonic Lodge and Bruceville-Eddy United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Sandra Roming. He is survived by his wife, Linda Roming of Eddy; his two daughters, Ginger Tolbert and husband, Ed, of Eddy and Amanda Chaney and husband, J.B., of Holland; four grandsons, Connor, Colby, J.C. and Mason; one brother, Larry Roming, of Eddy; one sister, Regina Psencik and husband, Wayne, of Rogers; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers are Joe Frerich, Anthony Duty, Rick Holcomb, David Duty, Joe Carnaghi, Curtis Gann, Jeff Odle and Allen Trigg. Honorary pallbearers are Dalton Bennett and Todd Copeland. Memorials may be made to Bruceville-Eddy Youth Sports Club; P.O. Box 353 76524 or the Bruceville-Eddy Volunteer Fire Department.
