E. Lorene Little

Effie Lorene Little March 30, 1920 - December 1, 2008 Lorene Little, 88, of Waco passed away Monday, December 1, 2008, at a local nursing home. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, at Waco Memorial Park. Lorene was born March 30, 1920, in Sulphur Springs, TX to Andy and Carrie Skelton. She married Melvin Little on June 16, 1941. She was a homemaker and active in the IOOF, Rebekah Lodge and Western Heights Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Melvin Little, in 2002; and granddaughter, Tonya Culverhouse in 1995. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Shine of Wake Forest, North Carolina; son, Larry Little of Bruceville, TX; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
