THOMAS, EDITH Edith Thomas, age 78, of Waco died Wednesday, August 22, 2001 at her residence. Services will be 11:30 AM Saturday, August 25th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Chaplain Curtis Holland and Rev. Michael O. Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-7:00PM Friday, August 24th at the funeral home. Mrs. Thomas was born September 28, 1922 in Waco to Jeff and Susie Ballard Tindell. After graduating from Waco High School, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for a number of years. She married Wilson Thomas on October 20, 1946 in Waco. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years April 8, 2001. She was a member of the Waco Board of Realtors and a longtime member of Western Heights Baptist Church.
