Edith White Dowdle December 24, 1921 - April 2, 2012 Edith White Dowdle, 90, of Waco passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 at St. Catherine Center in Waco. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 5, Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with the Rev. David Story officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Edith was born December 24, 1921 in Hill County, Texas to Arnold and Jessie White. She worked for many years at Texas Coffin Co. Edith was a member of Richfield Christian Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, A. J. Dowdle; her son, Jerry Dowdle; and her daughter, Joan Paris. She is survived by three grandsons, Wayne Paris of Crockett, Trent Paris of Robinson and Drake Paris of Mexia; son-in-law, Kenneth Paris of Speegleville; five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
