EDNA BOEMER May 15, 1916-December 25, 2005 Edna Lippe Boemer, 89, of Waco, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2005 at her residence. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 28 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Officiant will be Pastor Paul Krupicka. Assisting will be Mrs. Boemer’s cousin, Pastor Charles Brinkmeyer, retired. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial North. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, December 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Mrs. Boemer was born near Crawford on May 15, 1916, to Henry and Augusta Muegge Lippe and attended Crawford public schools. She moved with her family to the McGregor area in 1932 and married Walter Boemer in 1935. She was baptized on July 16, 1916 at the Lutheran Church in McGregor and confirmed on March 29, 1931 at Peace Lutheran Church, Crawford. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor, active in the Ladies Aid Society, Altar Guild, and choir. At the time of her death, Edna Boemer was an active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Waco where she was a member of the women’s organization and Morning Meditation Circle. She lived in McGregor until moving to the Woodway community in 1957 with her husband, who was a building contractor. She was a homemaker whose life centered around her family. She leaves a legacy of a very loving home. Her hobbies included gardening, ceramics, sewing and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in 1997, her parents, sisters, Elsie and Anne, and a brother, Edwin. Survivors include her daughter, Lois Greer and husband, James, of Waco; son, John and wife, Marilyn of Roanoke; grandchildren, Buddy Wuthrich and wife, Janet, of Atlanta, GA, Sharon Rudolph and husband, Richard, of Woodstock, GA, Jan Masterson and husband, Rob, of Houston, Greg Boemer and wife, Christine, of Dallas, Jeff Boemer and wife, Kathrine, of Ft. Worth; two step-grandchildren, Larry Lawrence of Keller and Lesley Pickard of Arlington; ten great-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Lippe and wife, Mary Ann, of Lorena, and Albert Lippe and wife, Erna, of Clifton. She is also survived by her very dear lifetime friend, Peggy Hunter. Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 800 N. New Road, Waco, Texas, 76710.
