Edna Rydel September 9, 1915 - February 6, 2008 Edna Rydel of Waco, formerly of West, Tx passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Regent Care Center. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 9, at Bold Springs Cemetery with Rev. John Crowder officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 8, at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey Garden Room. Mrs. Rydel was born September 9, 1915 in Abbott, Texas to William and Edna Province. She was a children's Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of West for many years and also worked with WMU and visited with home bound. She worked in children's retail sales, was a nurses aid and a volunteer at West Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Rudolph Rydel; sons, Jerry and Larry Rydel; and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley McCoy and husband, Charles of Waco; two daughters-in-law, Willie Rydel and Patsy Rydel; sister, Ruby Beene; granddaughter, Sherry Eskew and husband, Rox; grandsons, Bryan McCoy; Scott Wright, Russell Rydel and wife, Brandi and Hayes Rydel and wife, Larissa; great grandchildren, Nick, Taylor, Ashton, Allyson, Tucker and Kaylee. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank Regent Care Center, especially the med-aides Linda and Mary, her special friends; and Vista Care Hospice, Margie, Lisa, Audey, Ann, Amanda, Sheila, Cora and Jake.
