MCLAIN, ELEANOR Eleanor Ellie McLain, age 77, of Waco died Sunday, July 15, 2001 at her residence. Services will be at 1:30 PM Wednesday, July 18th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. Entombment will follow at Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be 5:30-7:30 PM Tuesday, July 17th at 3900 Old Mill Rd. Mrs. McLain was born April 25, 1924 to John and Ruby Wills Nesmith in Pursley, TX. She moved to the valley as a youngster and attended schools in Weslaco and was a graduate of Harlingen High School. She married Mack McLain in Del Rio, TX in 1943 and came to Waco in 1964. She was an avid golfer, member Ridgewood Ladies Golf Association, a portrait artist, having studied art abroad, a member of Officers’ Wives Association, and member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include: Husband: Mack Arthur McLain of Waco Daughters: Tara Zander and husband, Bill of Waco Lisa Langlotz and husband, Charles of Nacogdoches Laura Hodges and husband, Kim of Waco Sisters: Sybil Leeper of Weslaco Wanda Robinson of Brownsville Grandchildren: Kyle Zander and wife, Jennifer of Dallas Alec Price, Kirk Zander and wife, Kim, Brandon Hodges, Kristine McDonald and husband, Michael, Triniti Price, Kelli Zander.
