HUBBARD, ELEANOR CHEEK Eleanor Cheek Hubbard, age 70, of Woodway died Saturday, June 28, 2003 at her residence. Services will be held at 11:30am Wednesday, July 2 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Scott Wiley officiating. Burial will follow at 3pm at George’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 7-9pm Tuesday, July 1 at the funeral home garden room. Mrs. Hubbard was born on February 10, 1933 in Dallas. She grew up and attended schools in Fort Spunky, Glen Rose and Kopperl. Mrs. Hubbard graduated from Kopperl High School in 1949. In 1953, she married Jack Hanna. He preceded her in death in 1975. In 1977, she married Raymond Hubbard. She worked for Allen Glass Company and then for Marstaller Motors until her retirement. Mrs. Hubbard was also active in bowling leagues in Waco, attending tournaments in the state of Texas and throughout the United States. Mrs. Hubbard is survived by her husband; her sister, Anita Piper of Granbury; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Scott Wiley of Hermitage, Tennessee; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim Hanna and Nancy Mitchell, Jeff and Pat Hanna, Richard and Cara Hanna, all of China Spring; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jack Hanna, Steven Hanna, Bobby Hanna, John Hanna, Chris Hanna, and Jarod Hanna. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters Amanda Hanna and Jessica Hanna. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
