Elfrieda Schwartinsky Findley August 6, 1910 - January 26, 2009 Elfrieda Schwartinsky Findley, formerly of Waco, passed away January 26, 2009 in Midland, Texas. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 2, at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Elfrieda was born August 6, 1910, in Lorena, to Gustav and Mary Schwartinsky. She married Felix Oran Findley on March 2, 1930, and they had two daughters, Katherine Louise and Joyce Marie. She lived in the Waco area until 1986, when she moved to be near her daughter, Joyce. Oran preceded her in death in 1958, and she lost Katherine in 1975. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce and her husband, George Tays, of Midland; a granddaughter, Dianne and husband, Chuck Frederick, of Houston; a grandson, Jackie Sawyer, of Chicago; a sister, Grace Lauderdale of Austin; nine nieces and two nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and some great great nieces and nephews.
