Elizabeth A. Hatfield passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 1, at Oakwood Cemetery, with Rev. Joe Bailey officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 -8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Elizabeth was born January 27, 1934, in Waco, Texas, to Stephens and Ann Vivian Ramsey. Elizabeth Hatfield graduated from McGregor High School as Valedictorian of her Class of 1952. She graduated with a degree in education from Baylor in 1956. She worked at Herring Motor Company in McGregor, for Word Record, and later became a homemaker. She was active in the Animal Aids Organization and was a member of the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her aunts and uncles, Charlie and Margie Herring, Henry and Mary Alice Burt, Chester and Dorthy Nell McDonald, and Guy and Christine Walling. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gerald E. Hatfield, who was by her side when she passed away; one cousin, Billy Walling of San Antonio; a foster sister, Melba Blankenstein; and two sisters-in-laws, Lola Hodde and Evelyn Pliscott.
