Elizabeth Claire Ball September 29, 1918 - September 22, 2008 Elizabeth Claire Ball of Waco passed away Monday, September 22, 2008, at Wesleyan Nursing Home in Georgetown. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 Thursday, September 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Waco Memorial Park with the Dr. Jimmie Johnson officiating. Elizabeth was born September 29, 1918, in Martin, Tennessee, to John and Minnie Parker. She is retired from The Waco Tribune Herald. Elizabeth has been a lifelong Presbyterian and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents, John S. and Minnie Parker; brother, Lewis Parker of Kaufman, Texas; and husband, Laurel Stanford Ball. She is survived by her son, James Perry and wife Arlene Ball, Georgetown, TX; grandsons, David James Ball, and Ronald Arthur Ball and wife Merlyn, and five great-grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are Clarence Cobb, Nick Berrara, David and Ronald Ball, Roy Ferrell, and James Jernigan. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Waco, or Wesleyan Hospice; 508 Leander Road in Georgetown, 78626.
