Elizabeth Faye Aycock

Elizabeth Faye Aycock of Tyler died peacefully Saturday, July 2, 2016, at the age of 84. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, at Waco Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Faye’s life. Faye was born on November 1, 1931, in Waco, Texas, to James Edward Smith and Ida Belle Jones Smith. She married Martin Carl Aycock, a World War II Navy Veteran. While living in Waco, Texas, the couple welcomed two children into their home, Larry Carl Aycock on September 5, 1949 and Kenneth Dale Aycock on September 13, 1952. Her children remember her as a kind mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Faye was accomplished at making friends with everyone she met and often took time out of her day to make the days of others brighter. She was a generous individual who loved Baylor sports with her husband Martin and who was passionate about making everyone she met feel special. She was an active and dedicated member of the Church of Christ in Waco and often volunteered to help others there. Faye was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Martin Carl Aycock; children, Larry Carl Aycock and Kenneth Dale Aycock; grandchildren, Kristi Leigh Thrapp and Matthew Carl Aycock; great grandchildren, Andrew Don Thrapp (of Kristi Leigh Thrapp), Christian Lee Aycock, Meadow Elizabeth Aycock, and Bishop Vaughn Aycock (of Matthew Carl Aycock).
