BARRINGTON, ELIZABETH Elizabeth Sue Farney Barrington, age 64, of Waco died Tuesday, October 9, 2001 at her residence. Services will be 1:30PM Thursday, October 11th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. Danny Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Elizabeth was born August 28, 1937 to Mildred Irene Brenner and William Clarence Farney in Waco. She was known for her generosity and kindness to her family and friends. She was ready to assist when friends were in need. Her work as an administrative assistant in the aerospace industry brought her into contact with business leaders and executives. She was at ease with the powerful decision makers, as well as the entry-level worker. She graduated with honors from Waco High School, while working 28 hours a week outside school hours. Yet, she never flaunted her intelligence or made anyone feel inferior, either intellectually or socially. One of her shared goals with her family was for her daughter, Melanie to obtain a baccalaureate degree. Melanie is a proud graduate of North Texas State University and is now employed with Delta Airlines in New York, as a tower coordinator. Her 14 nephews and nieces were special to her as she looked forward to their activities and time together. She leaves behind her daughter, Melanie Barrington Jackson of Brooklyn, NY, two loving sisters, Kay Haught of Mt. Calm and Pam Suddeth of Golinda, four brothers share the grief of her passing: Bobby David Farney of Van Cleave, MS and George Buster Farney of Golinda, Charles Wayne Farney of Kingsland and Bill Farney of Georgetown Pallbearers will be Elmer Graesser, Marshall Mabry, Ira Southerland, Mark Southerland, Bryan Farney, and Brent Farney.
