May 21, 1917 — January 26, 2018

Elizabeth Wall 100, of Waco passed away peacefully on Friday January 26, 2018 at a local nursing home surrounded by loved ones and friends. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 30, at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, January 29, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Elizabeth was born on May 21, 1917 to Vivian & Tennie (Griffis) Westbrook on the family farm in Golinda, Texas. Elizabeth graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Waco. She was employed by First National Bank & Texas National; she met and married the love of her life Jack Wall on April 17, 1948. They moved to Woodway in 1956. Elizabeth was devoted to her family as a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and lastly great- great grandmother. She was involved in the PTA, loved her church First United Methodist Church Woodway where she, Jack and Tennie were all charter members. She was a volunteer at Hillcrest Hospital, Altrusa Club (screening eyes) and meals on wheels. She would often say her family was her greatest accomplishment and joy. She loved shopping, especially black Friday at the Hillsboro Outlet Mall, getting her hair fixed on Friday with her friend Virginia, playing cards and eating Mexican food were her favorite. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Debra Wall of Waco. Grandchildren Dawn Cox and husband, Brad of Valley Mills, Jeremy Higginbotham of China Spring, Jarrod Symank and wife, Lyndsey of Valley Mills. Great Grandchildren Alison & Chase Smith, Clay, Jordan & Jackson Higginbotham, Garrett Cox, Case and Jami Symank. Great- Great Grandson Maddox Smith. She is also survived by Cousin Sara Glenn and husband, William Glenn of Galveston, and nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mary at Greenview Manor, Sara with Interim Hospice, special friends Mary Hall, Roz Mehes, Ruthie Smith and others.
