Ellis Lamar White

Ellis Lamar “Bud” White passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Ridgecrest Retirement Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 2 at Lake Shore Church of Christ with Ernie Christie officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Lake Shore Church of Christ. Ellis was born January 10, 1940 in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Hollis and Bessie White. He worked in the oil industry at Cameron Iron Works for 44 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping and traveling and was active in the church for many years. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, and by one sister, Katrina O’Neal. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of Waco; two sons, Richard and wife Dee Ann of Katy, TX; Steven and wife Patti of China Spring, TX; six grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Emily, Molly, Courtney and Christina White and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to The Pauline Crumpler Scholarship Fund at the Lake Shore Church of Christ.
