Esther Lillian Lindner Hacker

HACKER, ESTHER Esther Lillian Lindner Hacker, of Waco, age 97, passed on, at the home of her daughter, Corinne Olson, on October 1, 2001. Services will be held at Janssen-Molenda Funeral Home, 2915 West Lincoln Ave., Milwaukee, WI and burial at Riverside Cemetery, next to her husband, in Withee, WI. Mrs. Hacker was born in Milwaukee, WI, attended school there and went to work at a very early age. She married Arthur Hacker on May 31, 1927 and stayed home to raise the children, after they were born. During WWII, she worked in a defense plant in Milwaukee. In 1944, the family moved to a farm in Owen, WI. Arthur Hacker passed away on December 3, 1959, Esther Hacker continued to farm until 1964. In 1964, she moved back to Milwaukee, WI to help raise her oldest grandchild, Oliver Olson, Jr. A devout Catholic, she attended St. Ignatius Church in Milwaukee and Providence Chapel in Waco. In 1997, she moved to Waco, TX to retire and to be close to her youngest daughter, grandson and great grandson. There was never a stranger in her life; everyone she met was immediately a friend. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all. Many special thanks to Emily Pelletier, Alice Gonzales and Providence Hospice for all the support they provided in this time of need.
