Eugenia Yvonne Clinefelter January 3, 1923 April 29, 2008 Eugenia Yvonne Clinefelter, 85, of Waco, passed away in peace April 29, 2008, at Providence Health Center. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, May 1, at Oakwood Cemetery. Yvonne was born on January 3, 1923, in Silsbee, Texas, to John and May Mock Moffett. She graduated from Silsbee High School in 1940, and on December 28, 1942, she was secretly married to her high school sweetheart, Harold Clinefelter, while he was on survivor's leave from the United States Navy. The marriage was a 65-year masterpiece of partnership, love and dedication that serves as a primer to her family and to all the lives they touched. She worked as a nurse in Long Beach, California, during World War II before she and Harold moved back to Texas in 1946 to start their family. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Yvonne will be missed for her laugh, her kindness, and her easy way with people. She never missed an opportunity to make a new friend. She loved animals, she had an effortless relationship with children, she enjoyed cooking, and she lived for her family. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and her brother. She is survived by her husband, C. H. Clinefelter; daughter, Jeanne Becker and husband, Gary, of Waco; son, Harry Clinefelter and wife, Sabra, of Sugarland; grandchildren, Jason Becker and wife, Lori, of Waco; Jennifer Becker Wright and husband, Tommy, of Austin; Will Becker and wife, Lauren, of Dallas; and Caitlyn Clinefelter of Sugarland; and six great grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Becker, Will Becker, Tommy Wright, Buddy Keeling, Howard Keeling, Jim Dan Keeling, Rocky Skillern, Randy Skillern, Ricky Skillern, Bill Richardson and Bill Stokes. The family would like to give special acknowledgement and express deepest gratitude to Dr. Gary Barbin, and the employees of Providence Park and Providence Hospice for their loving care.
