Eunice Rachel Arledge May 27, 1914 - September 23, 2014 Eunice Rachel "Noonie" Arledge of Waco passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Legend Oaks Health & Rehab. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 26, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Chilton Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Eunice was born May 27, 1914, in Chilton, Texas, and lived most of her life in Waco, Texas. She married Harold C. Arledge on July 13, 1940. She was a beautician in Waco for over 50 years and had many friends among her clientele. She was a member of Columbus Avenue Baptist Church for 50 years and devoted 35 years to the children's department. After moving to Hillsboro, Texas, in 2001, she moved her membership to First Baptist Church, Hillsboro. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Harold; two brothers; and four sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Jeannine Davis Reid and husband, David; two granddaughters, Amanda Fry and John, and Rebecca Shropshire and Greg, who were her caregivers in the last years of her life; seven great grandsons, Anthony Davis and wife, Alisha, Cody Purcell, Christian Purcell, Alexander Pitman, Hunter Fry, Griffin and Conner Shropshire; two great great grandsons, Braden and Nathaniel Davis; and several beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff at Weston Inn for making it truly like home for our Noonie. She made many friends with residents and staff. We would also like to thank the staff at Legend Oaks in Kyle for the compassionate end of life care.
