EVA BOWERS Eva Long Bowers, age 97, of Austin, formerly of Waco, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003 in Austin, TX. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, February 7 at Rosemound Cemetery with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Bowers was born December 3, 1905. She was a life long resident of Waco and lifetime member of Central Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Newman Bowers, two brothers, Homer Long and Jessie Long, and three sisters, Clara Swaner, Geneva Sherwood and Hettie Grasier. Survivors include her nephew, Terry Long of Austin; and niece, Charlotte Long, also of Austin.
