CLANTON, EVA JEWELL Eva Jewell Clanton, 93 of Hewitt went to be with her beloved husband, Doyal, in heaven Wednesday, July 07, 2004. Services will be at 1pm Friday, July 9 at Waco Memorial Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Reed Justice officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Thursday at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mrs. Clanton was born March 9, 1911 in Mt. Calm to Alfred and Willie Mae Miller. She attended Waco schools. She was employed as a switchboard operator for the local telephone company before she married. She married Doyal G. Clanton on June 17, 1933. They moved to Houston in 1942 where they resided until 1970 when they returned to Waco. Mrs. Clanton enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, parents and a grandson. Survivors include daughters, Doyalene Varley and husband, Don of Reagan, Kay Wilson of Rockdale and Sharon Maxwell and husband, Larry of Lorena, grandchildren, Charla Tidwell, Rick Varley and wife, Angela, Chuck Bledsoe and wife Johanna, Duane Butler and wife Christie, Shae Baker and husband Keith, Eric Maxwell and wife, Susan, Sharonda Johnson and husband Donam and Jennifer Anderson and husband, Sheldon. Great grandchildren, Sebrina Wiltse and husband Mike, Marla Kay Pribble and husband Billy, Dalton and Delanie Butler, Taylor and Tyler Baker, Shelby Morgan, Aaron and Madeline Anderson and Nathan and Benjamin Johnson.
