After 25 years, she retired in 1980 with her husband to their cattle ranch west of Waco. Their joint hobby was raising Limosine cattle and showing horses. In 1985 they built a new home off Highway 6. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Kansas and Oklahoma, a host of grateful Baylor Home Economics Alumni whom she mentored, and many friends.
