KOON, EVALYN Evalyn Christine Koon, age 81, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 15, 2001 at a local hospital. Services will be 1:30 PM Monday, November 19th at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd., Waco, TX 76710 with Dr. David Miller of First Baptist Church of Huffman officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco. Visitation with the family will be 2:00-4:00PM Sunday, November 17th at the funeral home. Mrs. Koon was born February 27, 1920 in Fairmont, West Virginia. She married Jack Koon on January 21, 1938 and moved to Waco in 1943. She was a former member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Waco where she served as president of the WMU and a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of McLennan Chapter No. 639, Order of the Eastern Star. After the death of her husband in 1984, Mrs. Koon moved to Abilene. She was a member of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Raymond and Lucy Pearl Wolfe, sister, Vera Dulin, brothers, John Raymond Wolfe, Junior and Paul Wolfe and two great granddaughters. Survivors include daughters, Judith Meinsen-Bryant and son-in-law, Alan Bryant of Corpus Christi and Nancy Robertson and son-in-law, Jessie Robertson of Abilene, son Jack Koon and daughter-in-law, Diana Koon of Crosby, brother, Robert Wolfe of Dayton, Ohio, sister, Melba Nay of Dayton, Ohio, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, seven nieces and nephews.
