Evelain Marie Barnes May 25, 1924 - March 27, 2012 Evelain Marie Barnes of Arlington passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 29, at Rosemound Cemetery with a local Eastern Star Chapter officiating. Evelain was born May 25, 1924 in Waco, Texas to Ernest and Lillie Elin. She obtained her Real Estate Brokers' license and worked for Hines Realty Company and Edith Hobbs Tompkins Realty. She volunteered in her church choir, Blue Bird and Camp Fire groups for all three girls, served six years in PTA for Ridglea West in several offices including President for two years and parliamentarian for one year. Evelain received a Life Time member ship for her service. She also served two years on Ft. Worth's Council of Parents and Teachers. In 1973 she severed as Mother Advisor for Arlington Height Rainbow Girls. She also served two years on the Board for Rainbow for Girls. In 1984, Evelain served as Worthy Matron for Arlington Heights Eastern Star Chapter 702. She was also a member of the Lady Shrine. Evealin worked closely with the Masonic Children's home in Fort Worth as well as the Eastern Star Home in Arlington Texas. She was a member of the Wedegwood Easter Star Chapter #756. Evelain was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Edward Barnes and her parents.
