Eveline Bush Toland, formerly of Waco, Texas passed from this life on February 9, 2004 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee Mrs. Toland was born January 25, 1920 in Simpson County, Mississippi to Simpson and Cornelia Richardson Bush. She married William G. Toland in 1942 and moved to Waco in 1951 when he became affiliated with Baylor University. Dean Toland preceded her in death in 1997, and she moved shortly thereafter to Murfreesboro to be near her daughter Judy. During her years in Waco she was a member of the Baylor University Roundtable and First Baptist Church. Mrs. Toland is survived by her daughters Carole Toland Tatum and husband, Charles, and Judy Toland Houchens and husband, Harry. Her grandchildren are Tommy, Will, and Jeff Tatum; Judy Tatum Martin, and Caroline and Trey Houchens. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Cameron and Olivia Martin, and Josh and Jake Tatum. Visitation will be at Wilkirson Hatch Bailey funeral home in Waco on Thursday evening, February 12 from six o’clock to eight o’clock. A graveside service will be held the following day, Friday, at 10:30 A.M. at Waco Memorial Park North. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dean and Mrs. William G. Toland Endowed Scholarship Fund at Baylor University, Post Office Box 97050, Waco, Texas 73521. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff and caregivers at AdamsPlace.
