Evelyn M. Carey August 26, 1921-December 14, 2005 Evelyn M. Carey passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at her home in Seattle , Washington. Graveside services will be at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, December 20 at Robinson cemetery in Robinson, Texas with Dr. John R. Carey officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM, Monday December 19 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas. Evelyn was born August 26, 1921 in Laredo, Texas to William E. Stockwell and Sarah Sweetman Stockwell. She lived a portion of her life in Panama and San Antonio, Texas. She met her husband, Capt. Perry E. Carey ret in Laredo, Texas while he was in the army. Her husband Perry was from Robinson, Texas. Evelyn and her family spent their Lives in the military, primarily living in Japan. Upon returning from Japan, they moved to Granite City, Illinois. Evelyn was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ and a devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Carey, her parents, brother, William Stockwell, sisters, Emily Baine, Katie Mott, Martha James and Lilian Anderson. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley Deponte and her husband, Arthur of Kula, Hawaii, 3 sons, John Carey and his wife, Wanda of Flippin, Arkansas, Robert Carey and his wife, Beverly of Everett, Washington, Philip Carey and his wife, Anita of Kaneohe, Hawaii, 4 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
