Evelyn Grey December 21, 1925–October 26, 2006 Evelyn F. Grey of Waco passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006. A memorial service will be held Monday, October 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Central Christian Church, 4901 Lake Shore Drive. Evelyn was born in Louisville, KY on December 21, 1925 to William Fisher, Sr. and Evelyn Fisher. She had one brother, William Jr. Evelyn was married to James Jim Albert Grey of Waco for 41 years. They married on January 18, 1965 in Lakewood, New Jersey. Evelyn became a professional roller skater, teaching figure skating and dance with Jim at roller skating rinks they owned and managed in Florida and Michigan. In their later careers, Evelyn and Jim owned a Waco jewelry store, Ja-Lynn’s, which later became Evelyn’s Treasures, until they retired early this year. She was a greatly loved member of Central Christian Church and was in Jim’s loving care when she died Thursday in their home. She is survived by her husband, Jim and three daughters, Joann, Kimberly and Evelyn, all three of whom live in Michigan. Memorial donations may be made to the Central Christian Church.
