Evelyn R. Yankie September 25, 1913 - April 17, 2008 Evelyn R. Yankie of Woodway passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 21, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Roy Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at China Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Evelyn was born September 25, 1913 in China Spring, Texas, to John and Feddie Rogers. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for over 30 years. She was also bookkeeper for her son, Jimmy, at A-1 Alignment and Tire Co. She was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Ray; grandson, Bobby Yankie and three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Leo Yankie; granddaughter, Joan Yankie; and great granddaughters, Lisa Hardin and husband, Sam; Robin Yankie; step-grandchildren, Mike Tyler and wife, Jo Betsy; and Cathy Sue Head; and several nieces and a nephew. Pallbearers are Ray Roberts, Ray Dobbs, Gary Butler, Jake Whaley, Ken Freeman and Joe Briley. Honorary Pallbearers are Dale Troup, Billy Blanton and her Sunday school class at First Baptist Church of Hewitt. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Hewitt.
