Evelyn Ruth Wynn

Wynn, Evelyn Ruth Evelyn Ruth Wynn, 84, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at her residencannoe. Graveside services will be Friday, April 22, 2005 at 1:30 at Waco Memorial North with Father John Wells officiating. A visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 21 from 6 to 8:00 PM at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey, 6101 Bosque Blvd. Mrs. Wynn was born August 11, 1920 in Hillsboro, Texas to George Foley and Lillian Elizabeth Dyer Regan. She graduated from Abbott High School in 1938. She was a member of the high school’s Women’s Basketball Team from 1936 to 1938. She was awarded the most valuable player award fro the Southern Texas Athletic Basketball Association in 1937 and 1938. She married Marvin Nolan Wynn on May 8, 1939 in Waco. Mrs. Wynn owned and operated Lake Air Beauty Salon from 1962 to 1975 and was a charter member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She loved to travel and take vacations with each of her two sons and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin, brother, Walter Regan, two sisters, Flora Griffin, Faye Compton and step brother, Brian Fisher. She is survived by her two sons, Nolan R. Wynn and wife Joan of Julian, California and Richard W. Wynn of Waco. Grandchildren, Nolan Marvin Wynn and wife Cassey of Santa Isabel, California, John O’Keith Wynn of Ramona, California, Lisa Wynn of Waco, Amy Wynn of Katy, Rhonda Williams of Wimberley, Rob Wynn of North Carolina; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was a very loving person who loved her family very much and will be deeply missed by all of us.
