TEEL, EVELYN Evelyn Teel, 97, formerly of Waco, died Friday, January 7, 2005, in Denton. Graveside services will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday, January 11, at Waco Memorial North, with the Rev. Steve Mansen officiating. Mrs. Teel was born May 19, 1907, in Dawson Texas, to Dr. and Mrs. B. W. D. Hill and attended local schools. She graduated from North Texas State Teachers College in Denton. Mrs. Teel came to Waco to teach school. She married Riley Teel in 1941. She was a past queen of Daughters of the Nile – Merak Temple No. 104. Her dream for the future was to see the completion of the sanctuary of Central Christian Church in her lifetime. Mrs. Teel is survived by nieces, Jane M. Cole of Denton and Mary Lou Riley of Shallowater; and nephew, William Kemper McGowan of San Antonio.
