Fay Nell Norwood, 89, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2021 at The Delaney at Lake Waco, Waco, Texas. She was born in Ackerly, Texas, on May 8, 1931, and lived in Nacogdoches, Texas, before moving to Channel View, Texas, where she grew up. She married her beloved husband, Winfred Freeman Norwood, Jr., on September, 24, 1948. They lived in northern Harris County their entire married lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lemuel C. McEachern and Velma L. Rusk McEachern; a sister, Sue Jean McEachern; and, by her husband, Winfred F. Norwood, Jr. Her survivors include her son, Malcolm Andrew (Andy) Norwood of China Spring, Texas; her sister, Maudie L. Owens and her husband, John W. Owens of Houston, Texas; her sister, Nora Kate Heath of Houston; her brother, Malcolm R. McEachern and his wife, Sandy McEachern of Harwood, Texas; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, the ladies of Mountain Green Trail. Honorary Pallbearers will be Malcolm R McEachern, Paul C. Bettes, Michael R. Heath, Roger F. Heath, Larry Booker and Enrique Gonzalez. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at Brookside Memorial Park, Houston, on Monday, February 22, 2021.
