Florence E. Woodard

Florence E. Woodard passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, September 18, 2017, at Bruceville Baptist Church with Rev. Clifford Feeler and Rev. Mickey Fugitt officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home. Florence was born November 27, 1916, in Ripley, MS, to Brewer Melton Anderson and Elizabeth Jane Anderson. Florence was educated at China Spring, Texas. She worked at Cox’s Department Store. She enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies, growing zinnia flowers, and working in the church nursery for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buster “Buck” Woodard; sons, Jerry Woodard and Kenneth Woodard; two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by daughter, Shirley Booker; daughter-in-law, Shirley Woodard; granddaughters, Sylvia Ekdahl, Kenda Matson, and Deborah George; grandson, Bobby Booker; five great grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren.
