BERRY, FLORENCE Florence V. Berry, age 89, of Waco died Monday, March 11, 2002 at a local hospital. Services will be held at 11:30AM Wednesday, March 13 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd. with Rev. David Shuttlesworth and Rev. Barney Hutson officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, March 12 at the funeral home garden room. Mrs. Berry was born May 2, 1912 in the Ocee community to N. C. and Madoline Brinegar Glaze. She graduated from Highland School and Crawford High School. She married O. T. Theron Berry October 1935. She was a member of Park Lake Drive Baptist Church. She taught children for many years at Shiloh Baptist Church and Highland Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, who lived in Waco all her life and loved her family and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, her parents, sister, Julia Nancy Old and brothers, Lee and Leonard Glaze. Survivors include daughter, Virginia Berry Shuttlesworth and husband, David of Waco; grandchildren, David Lee Shuttlesworth and wife, Vicki of Belton and Bill Shuttlesworth and wife, Brenda of Conroe; great grandchildren, Ashlie, Erin, Hailee and Collin Shuttlesworth; sisters, Mildred Eichelberger of Waco and Mary Frances Golden and husband, Buddy of Waco; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Charlie Williams, Doug Lain, Harold Gibson, John Cowan, James Dean, and Carl Pliscott. Memorials may be made to Park Lake Drive Baptist Church or Hillcrest Hospice.
