COCHRUM, FORREST Forrest Cochrum, 92 of Lacy Lakeview died Sunday, June 27, 2004 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 11am Wednesday, June 30 at White Rock Cemetery with the Rev. Darrell Phillips officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8pm Tuesday, June 29 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Mr. Cochrum was born June 1, 1912 near Mexia in Limestone County. He lived in the Waco area most of his life. He married Florene Smith February 10, 1951. She preceded him in death November 3, 1999. He was a veteran of WWII U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a farmer and truck driver for many years before going to work for the Texas State Highway Department. He retired after more than 20 years of service. Mr. Cochrum was a member of Elm Mott United Methodist Church. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Fredrick Cochrum and his sister, Florene Cochrum. Survivors include son, Mike Cochrum and wife, Teresa of Lacy Lakeview; grandchildren, James Cochrum of Houston and Jennifer Cochrum of Lacy Lakeview; and nieces, Freddie Higginbotham and Annette Bloskas both of Lacy Lakeview.
