Frances E. Adams March 27, 1915 - August 2, 2010 Frances E. Adams of Waco passed away Monday, August 2, 2010. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, at Waco Memorial Park. Church service will be 12:00 p.m., noon on Friday, August 6, at Lakewood Christian Church with the Rev. Jack Mullins officiating. Mrs. Adams will be in state, and there is no formal visitation. Frances was born March 27, 1915, and lived in Waco most of her life. She was active throughout her long life and loved playing bridge, tending her African violets, walking in the mall with friends, playing with her beloved cat Chrissy, and contributing in many ways to her church community. Frances was generous, courageous, and brought joy to all who knew her. Her glass was always half full. Her church friends, her neighbors, her walking buddies, her side-kick Elsie, and her family will miss her so much. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Adams; her parents, Pearl and Rufus Bird; her brother, Leslie Bird; and her niece, Jane Bird. She is survived by her Goddaughter, Memie Hardie; grandsons, Peter Hardie and David Hardie; nieces, Kathryn Littlefield and Ann Green; great nieces, Tracy Kruse and Lisa Toran; and great nephew, Jon Goodson, as well as her dear cat, Chrissy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lakewood Christian Church or Fuzzy Friends Rescue Service.
