Frances J. Weller

June 16, 1913 — December 31, 2016

Frances Weller, 103, met her Savior face to face on the morning of December 31, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 4, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. The Rev. Richard Koskela retired pastor of Alliance Bible Church will be officiating. There will be a private family burial Wednesday morning. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey. Frances was born and raised in Three Oaks, Michigan by her parents, Guy and Sopha VanderMeer. She married Clair D. Weller, August 23, 1940, then moved to Peoria, Illinois where their three children, Leon, Janet and Anita, were born. During the time her husband worked for R. G. LeTourneau, Inc., they were transferred from Peoria, Illinois to Vicksburg, Mississippi and Longview, Texas. In October, 1960, the family moved to Waco, Texas to begin a new family business, Diesel Power Supply Company (now in its 57th year). Frances will be remembered as a gifted vocalist, seamstress, hostess and dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Since 1961, she was a faithful member of Alliance Bible church until her most recent years when she was unable to attend. In the years past, she enjoyed serving the Lord on many occasions, whether in her home or at church. She was richly blessed by the Lord and shared those blessing with many. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister, Pearl Gridley; and her brother, Robert VanderMeer. She is survived by her three children; Leon Weller and wife Ann of Robinson, Texas, Janet Grandlinard and husband Paul of Mendon, Michigan, and Anita Vance and husband Jack of Woodway, Texas; nine grandchildren, David Weller, Danny Weller, Ruthie Weller, Angie (Grandlinard) Hand, Andrew Grandlinard, Anthony Grandlinard, Julie (Vance) Boss, Kevin Vance and Jeremy Vance; and 20 great-grandchildren. The family of Frances Weller want to acknowledge the exceptional help given by Providence Hospice nurses and CNAs throughout the past ten months.
