Frances Joy Hoffman

Frances Joy Hoffman, 90, of Waco, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 12, at Congregation Agudath Jacob Cemetery with Rabbi Ben-Zion Lanxner officiating. “Torchy” as she was referred to by her friends, was born in Laredo, Texas and met her husband Eli Hoffman in Austin. They were married in Laredo, Texas in November, 1947 and moved to Waco where they raised their family and were active in the Jewish Community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Hoffman, her sister Betty Safan, her brother Eddie Torchin and her grandson Michael Hoffman. Frances is survived by her son, Dr. Terry Hoffman and his wife, Brenda, her daughter, Wendy Ramsey and her husband, Ray, her son, Douglas Hoffman and his wife, Jordana ; grandchildren, Matthew, Kara, and Ashton. The family would like to express their gratitude to the love and care provided by Nicole Petruescu, Debbie Lupu, and Lucy Lupu.
