Frances Lucille Scott

Frances Scott August 11, 1915 – March 29, 2010 Frances Lucille Parrott Scott entered into her eternal reward on March 29, 2010, at the age of 94. Service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 31, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. David Scott, Rev. Scott Rhodes, and Rev. Ivan Ker officiating. A family graveside service will be held at Rosenthal Cemetery. There will be a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service. Frances was born to Frank and Maggie Harwell Parrott on August 11, 1915, in rural Falls County. In 1934 she married Harry T. Scott of Waco. They shared a happy life together for 58 years. H. T. preceded her in death in 1992. Frances was a Christian lady who was an unselfish, loving caregiver for any family member who needed her. She especially loved children and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, June Scott Rhodes and husband, Cecil, of Meadows Place, TX; son, James D. Scott of Robinson, TX; grandchildren, David Scott of Wylie, TX; Denise Scott Castilleja and husband, Julian, of Rowlett, TX; Scott Rhodes and wife, Kris, of Hewitt, TX; and Kerry Rhodes of Meadows Place. She also leaves four great grandchildren, twins Bianca and Savannah Castilleja and Jonathan and Jeremiah Rhodes. She will be remembered for her Christian witness, her sense of humor, her cheerfulness, her compassion and great capacity to love. She will be missed by family and many, many friends who loved her.
