Frances M. Jones January 11, 1931 - July 1, 2009 Frances M. Jones, formerly of Waco, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, July 1, 2009, after a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at her home in Conroe, TX. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. Frances was born January 11, 1931 in Waco to Virgil and Ethel Overby. She was a graduate of Waco High School and 4-C Business College. She married Jodye E. Jones 60 years ago on June 18, 1949. Frances had a passion for and volunteered at the Lubbock State School, where Steven, their son, lives. She was a beloved daughter, wife, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Gary and Larry Jones. She is survived by her husband, Jodye Jones; three children, Steven Jones, Cynthia Murphree, and husband Jerry, Beverly Johnson; sister, Sherry Mann and husband, Leslie; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a number of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
