Frances Patt Haise

Frances Patt Price Haise, known as Patt, was born on January 21,1940, in Rogers, Texas, to Clyde Hubert Price and Mabel Loraine Williams. She was baptized in the Cego Baptist Church at the age of nine and graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School. Patt served in several secretarial positions both at NASA Johnson Space Center and Kennedy Space Center. At Johnson Space Center, she worked in the Safety, Reliability, and Quality office and most notably several very busy years in the Orbiter Project Office managing the design/manufacturing/testing of the Space Shuttle Orbiter vehicle. She was recognized for her topnotch editorial skills, sunny personality, and efficiency handling projects not typically given to secretaries. Among many accomplishments, she earned the Recommendation for Official Recognition and the Outstanding Secretary Award. Patt enjoyed traveling and made numerous trips with her husband to Europe. Once, she experienced supersonic flight at over twice the speed of sound and at over 60,000 feet altitude aboard the Concord jet. Throughout forty-three years of marriage, Patt made many friends in moves to New York, Florida, Virginia, and Texas. She passionately loved her grandchildren, her pets, collecting elephants, and being surrounded by seashells as she enjoyed the tunes of Willie, Waylon, and Johnny Cash. Patt passed away peacefully at home with family on February 7, 2022, in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 82. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Loraine Price and her son, Robert Dan “Danny” Huber, Jr. Left to cherish her memory, Patt is survived by her husband, Fred Haise; daughters, Darla Jones and husband, Greg, and Angie Alexander and husband, Les; grandchildren, Tyler Huber and wife, Jordan, Austin Huber, Madi Jones, Cade Woodall and wife, Amber, and Dakota Woodall; great-grandchildren, Tripp and Lane Woodall; and brother, Bruce Price and wife, Mary; along with numerous other loving family members and friends. Visitation will be held at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life service at 1:30 p.m.
