COWAN, FRANCES PHILLIPS Frances Phillips Cowan, age 85 died Monday, December 22, 2003 at a Fort Worth hospital. Services will be held at 11:30am Saturday, December 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with Rev. Ed Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7pm Friday, December 26 at the funeral home. Mrs. Cowan was born July 25, 1918 in Bruceville, Texas to the late Claude and Maude Phillips. She was the last of 12 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Clarence Cowan, on October 17, 2003; she was also preceded by son, Charles W. Cowan, and grandson, Kelly Cowan. Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Keeney of Mansfield; sons, Jerry Cowan of Hurst and Steve Cowan of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeff Cowan, Gary Keeney, Matthew Cowan, Blake Cowan, Kirby Cowan, and Chris Cowan.
