Frances Sherman

Frances Sherman November 21, 1922 - October 4, 2009 Frances Sherman of Canton passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Waco Memorial Park. Frances was born November 21, 1922 in Robinson, Texas to John Lee and Mattie Moore Carey. She graduated from Waco High School in 1941 and attended 4-C Business College. Frances and Ben Sherman, Jr. were married on February 28, 1942, and he passed away on February 24, 1998. She worked in the McLennan County Tax Office for Joe Alexander for about 10 years and in 1959 she went to work for Cogdell Auto Supply and retired in 1980. She moved to Mabank, TX in October of 2002 with her sister, Josephine, to be close to her niece, Jeanne Tyler Sebastian. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Dora Mae Herring and Josephine Tyler and two brothers, Howard Carey and Perry Carey.
