Frances Rosalind Stripling passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Church Waco. Interment will begin at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 3, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home.
Born and raised in Beaumont, TX, Frances moved to Houston in her early 20s, where she built a fulfilling life filled with love, hard work, and family. In her later years, she retired to Waco, TX, to be closer to her family, who were the center of her world.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Frances is survived by her daughter, Brandi Guel; her son-in-law, Eric Guel; and her seven grandchildren—Nathan, Daniel, Abigail, Evangeline, Joshua, Hannah, and Mary—who were her pride and joy. She was a faithful Christian whose unwavering love for her family and deep devotion to her faith served as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Frances left behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Described by her friends as loyal, dependable, funny, brave, and accepting, she was a source of strength and warmth to everyone who knew her. Her life was filled with moments that will forever live in the hearts of her family, especially her grandchildren: Friday night sleepovers, home-cooked meals, ice cream after dinner, birthday balloons, endless story times, Little House on the Prairie, and van trips to Houston, where she always sat between her two littlest granddaughters, creating treasured bonds.
Most recently, Frances enjoyed being part of the loving residential community at Providence Village, which became a vital part of her life. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by so many.
Throughout her professional career, Frances demonstrated dedication and excellence, including managing the Forms and Graphics Department at Philadelphia American Life Insurance Company in Houston and working as a receptionist at Wetmore Printing Co. She found deep fulfillment in being closely involved in the printing business, a field that had always captivated her interest.
Her professional accomplishments reflected her remarkable organizational skills and creativity, leaving a lasting impact on those she worked with.
Frances is preceded in death by her father, Mr. J.B. Stripling; her mother, Mrs. Woodrow “Woody” Stripling; and her former husband, Mr. Harold Caddick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Waco Family Medicine.
We invite you to leave a message or memory in Frances’ “Memorial Guestbook” at www.WHBfamily.com.
